Sylvia Weinstock created a ten-tier vanilla and buttercream wedding cake for the Hollywood stars at a cost of $7,000. Covered with sugared flowers, the cake was six feet tall

Their 2010 wedding cake made of vanilla sponge cake was created with a gluten-free flour blend, layers of chocolate mousse and covered in vanilla fondant. At four feet tall with nine tiers, the $11,000 wedding cake was lavishly decorated with one thousand sugar flowers.

For Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ wedding in 1981, the cake alone cost $40,000, stood at five-foot-tall and took fourteen weeks to prepare. The wedding cake was decorated with roses, lilies of the valley and orchids. The prince’s family’s royal coat of arms was also added.
